We've finally added a brief write up on one of my favorite Uroplatus species, Uroplatus sameiti.

I finally found the time to start the Uroplatus sp. nov. aff. ebenaui article. I didn't include husbandry information yet, as the topic can be rather redundant. What is focused on, however, is how to distinguish the two apart.

Good day to everyone!

I've begun work on the species articles. For the time being, we're keeping them short and sweet. In addition to the new/upcoming articles, we've also created RSS feeds for most sections in the site.

Articles added:

In progress

  • Uroplatus Glossary Link sp. nov. aff. ebenaui
    • Will highlight the difference between Uroplatus sp. nov. aff. ebenaui from Uroplatus ebenaui.
  • Add Facebook integration for select content.

Updates!

After a busy year I've decided to dedicate more time to the site. While the popularity of these animals increases, so does the need for accurate and up to date information. If you work with Uroplatus professionally and would like to contribute an article, please use our Contact page or send us an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Upcoming changes:

  • The Image Galleries will be consolidated into the Species Index.
  • Site Reference section has been created to provide a list of articles and papers that have been used for data on the site. This will ultimately be the home for a comprehensive list of all articles and papers published regarding Uroplatus.
  • Population of the site glossary is underway. Recommendations for new terms to be included into the glossary should be suggested via our Contact page.
  • The FAQ section has been brought online and will continue to grow as we continue to populate the site.
